One firefighter was reported missing after the explosion, and later has been found and taken to hospital for treatment, local authorities in Fu'an said. The explosion injured 10 firefighters and two local staff members, according to the latest assessment, CMG reported.
A staff member with the Fu'an Emergency Management Bureau confirmed with the Global Times that some people were injured. The relevant details are still being verified, and the situation remains fluid, with developments continuing to change, according to the staff member.
According to Xinhua News Agency, the injured have been taken to hospital, while local emergency management and health authorities have rushed to the scene. The fire has been brought under effective control, and the cause is under investigation.
